LN Systems' licensable BDA driver kit allows for rapid development of Windows BDA drivers for DVB tuner/demodulator hardware, including multiple transport streams and custom BDA property extensions.
This kit has formed the basis for BDA drivers including the BCM-100 and the Intel® CE9500 DVB-T Reference Design.
This kit has been created to significantly speed development of DVB BDA drivers by providing generic functional modules (C++ classes) which encapsulate the core functionality required from a BDA driver. The developer then derives components specific to their particular hardware, which act as ‘shims’ between the core BDA interfaces and the tuner/demodulator/capture hardware.
Provision is made within the kit for adding custom BDA properties to the driver, as required. It also supports the addition of IOCTL interfaces via custom device nodes, for hardware-specific operations outside the scope of the BDA hierarchy.
The modular architecture supports DVB-T, DVB-C and DVB-T filters, which may be configured in any combination in a given device.
The driver kit consists of a core package, together with optional add-on packages which may be chosen according to requirements:
Maintenance contracts are also available to ensure access to regular product updates.
The BDA Driver Development Kit may be licensed from LN Systems (email us for further information).
